Abstract

Salim Betaab was an important and well known poet of Faisalabad.  In the Sixth Decade of the Twentieth Century, He was a poet of ghazal and acknowledged  in his Era and afterwards. He also known as a poet of  nazam  but his ghazal  was most prominent in his era and  later. The critics pay attention towards his ghazal and totally ignored  his nazam.  This article will throw light on the contribution of Salim Betaab in the field  of  nazam. He was a good poet in this regard as well. Salim Betaab had progressive approach towards the life.  As a  progressive poet he  has made a vital contribution in Urdu poetry. This article gives some glimpse of his work and try is acknowledge him as a poet of progressive. This article will help the reader to know about the Salim Betaab and his nazam with a progressive approach.
