Akhter Raza Saleemi is a prominent novelist of the present era. His second novel Jander (جندر) published in 2017. Which story revolves around the psychology of a human beings and his mental confusion, complication and emotional attachment to various places. The effects of Jander emotional attachment on novel characters are explained by models of environmental psychology based on person, place, and process۔ The main character of the novel is Wali Khan who is on his deathbed۔He remember his past. The grief of his mother's death had a great impact on his personality۔Due to the death of his father, he becomes very attached to the Jander and remained attached to that place till the end of his life. His wife considered him a free man, but he remained a slave to jander all his life۔This caused separation between them. Wali Khan became a victim of torture, loneliness, helplessness. The fear of death triggered several other psychological disorders in him. The characters in this novel develop significant psychotic disorders including superego awakening, self-torture, anxiety, idealism, nostalgia and schizophrenia.
