Abstract

This article delineates the different Use of radif in Ghazaliat of Allama Muhammad Iqbal. Iqbal is considered as one of the most important Urdu poet who explained the philosophical concepts in poetry very eloquently. His poetry cannot be separated from his intellectual thought. The use of radifs in his Urdu ghazals is unique and seems to help in expressing his thought system. He used singular, interrogative, narrative, imperative and wishful meanings words as radif.
