Abstract

New Historicism is a new literary study that is based on the relationship between
literature, culture and history. This postmodern literary study depicts how to read
analysis and understand the intellectual history through literature. New
Historicism claims that literature should be studied and interpreted within the
context of both the history of the author and the history of the critic. This essay is
presenting a new historic study of Abdullah Husain’s novel ‘Nadar Log’. As we
know that Nadar Log is a tragedy of Pakistan after partition, here Abdullah
Husain streams the political and historical events such as East Pakistan tragedy
and the beyond political circumstances. Through a clear political wisdom
Abdullah Husain bravely presents unbiased picture of collective corruption,
injustice, tyranny, ignorance, exploitation and political intrigue of power
structure. This essay is an intellectual, cultural and new historical study of the
literary text of ‘Nadar Log’ in the context of after partition issues of Pakistan’s
