Critical Review of “Jagay Hain Khwab Mai"

Abstract

Novel "Jagay Hain Khwab Main" by Akhter Raza Saleemi is the most distinctive one among the novels written and produced in the  first quarter of the current century. Through introducing different characters, influenced by unconscious _cum_ collective unconscious, the writer covered a time span of  2500 years from old era to the modern one. Along with concepts of the famous psychologist Karl Yung, other topics like philosophy, physics, metaphysics, magical realism, fantasy are also part of this novel. The topics of this very theses titled  Jagay Hain Khwab Main presents a thorough analysis of characters and their psychological inclinations.

 Beside this technique of writing, plot construction and other formative and artistic elements are also discussed.
