Abstract

Alienation is a state or condition in which human being feels himself alone and meaningless. Alienation is a purely intellectual phenomenon for Hegel and Feuerbach.  Karl Marx consider  it is a material and social process.  He explains the paradox of social power and isolation that characterizes contemporary capitalist societies, in which feelings of powerlessness and nothingness are intensified despite objective increases in humanity’s social power and interdependence. Anees Nagi (1939-2010) was a famous poet, writer and intellectual. He wrote over 50 books on genres like poetry, criticism, short-story, translation and columns. In his poems he describes the human being of modern age very well. Alienation specially Social alienation is a prominent trend of his poems.
