Abstract

This article is about “A Dying Colonialism” by Frantz Fanon. He has described how the people of Algeria changed centuries-old cultural patterns. Fanon described the fifth year of the Algerian Revolution as a point of departure for an inevitable dynamics of colonial oppression. Fanon wishes that the people of the third world countries should develop awareness and not replace one violence with another after the revolution. He wants to discover the new human being hidden behind the colonialism. The article shows why Fanon says that for the colonized having a gun is the only chance to giving a meaning to their death.
